NEW Game Plan Mental Health Disorders and Sport-Related Issues Factsheets

Game Plan is excited to launch our six new Mental Health Disorders Factsheets for athletes, coaches and sport leaders. Developed by Kevin Kristjanson, Ph.D. (Mental Health Lead, Canadian Sport Centre Manitoba) and Lauren Marsh-Knickle, R.Psych., with input from the COPSIN Mental Health Leads, these sport and trauma-informed resources provide practical knowledge and a better understanding of various mental health prevalent in athletes. Mental health disorders discussed include depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, perfectionism, and sleep.

These resources are available in two- to three-page factsheets here, which can also be found on the Game Plan website. Game Plan will add video and voice recordings to the resource suite later, which will be available for self-paced listening for those who may be visually impaired or prefer to learn through listening.

Please contact Lee Allison Clark (lclark@mygameplan.ca), Game Plan’s Mental Health Manager, if you have any questions!
